Bernie 'the butt-head' Ecclestone of F1 racing makes wrong comment
-Ecclestone made some comments that has made many people in this country upset including Danica Patrick.-
Danica Patrick is upset at Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone and confused by his comments likening women to "domestic appliances."
Among the comments Ecclestone made in the interview and to Patrick was a reference that "women should be all dressed in white like all other domestice appliances."
Ecclestone has made controversial remarks about women before. He told Autosport racing magazine in 2000 that women could not compete in Formula One, but if one did, "she would have to be a woman who was blowing away the boys. ... What I would really like to see happen is to find the right girl, perhaps a black girl with super looks, preferably Jewish or Muslim, who speaks Spanish."
Well at a time when F1 could go without another black-eye, after last weeks debacle at the INDY race track,(Following safety concerns over Michelin tyres, after Ralf Schumacher suffered an accident due to tire failure, the manufacturer advised their six teams not to contest the race in Indianapolis unless a chicane was added. This was vetoed by the governing body, the FIA, and it resulted in 14 of the 20 cars on the grid pulling into the pits to retire before the race even started, leaving the farcical sight of two Ferraris battling Jordans and Minardis for honours.)
I should think that Danica should go over there and show them an American thing or to after remarks like that are made about women drivers.

Danica should go over the pond to England and put it to them. F1 racing could use some good press here in the states and Danica would be a perfect for that job.
Butt-head Ecclestone should take note that comments like that should be kept to himself and not in a public forum. His words and comments will inevitably come back to haunt him. She is young and in her 20's and eventually have her day at the racetrack racing F1

i think he was right. what has she done good. o finished in the top 10 although that is almost half the field. danica sucks really bad. she is definitly not second in most laps finished. then what the heck is this thing where irl is giving her her own line to run. if u guys are going to say something good about a driver. first do your homework.
I live in England, follow F1 and know just a little about Indycar racing. I think Danica is quietly sensational. I'd love to see her in the UK, giving some European guys the runaround. I say, bring her over soon.
Bernie if your reading this -- Keep your chauvinism to yourself. Better yet try getting out of the dark ages and join the rest of human kind in the 21st century. -- Its guys like you that give guys a bad name. Jees what butt-head. It is already a proven fact that the future of fighter pilots will be moving to women because the small frames of their bodies allow them to endure more g-forces without passing out than men and if thats the case then a little IRL or F1 race car isn't going to be a problem for them.
Danica if you are reading this just know that some men are glad to see women in racing, my only regret is that it wasn't my own daughter who broke racings gender bias.

Miss Patrick represents another rung on the ladder to female superiority.I've watched this phenom for 40 years. Law,Medicine, business, and now the heretofore macho stuff.The fact that she is comfortable being 100%(knocked out) girl and a very successful racer... well men will always be good moving furniture.
