Danica named Rookie of the Year

Danica is named rookie of the Year!!. Danica, who drives for Rahal/Letterman Racing, was chosen as Rookie of the Year. She came in fourth, the best finish ever by a woman in the 89 year history of the race. Danica was also the first woman ever to lead the race. Danica brought tremendous attention to this year's race and is being credited for creating the most excitement the open wheel Indy Racing League has seen in years. ABC generated the best TV ratings for the Indy 500 in nearly a decade.

Danica first ever to lead at INDY!!

Danica had an incredible race at INDY. She had a few misfortunes yet battled her way to lead, first ever by a female driver, the race only to come in fourth after running short on fuel. Guys, watch out she is for real with a strong team supporting her. She definetly would have won with only 5 laps to go if it wasnt a matter of fuel. No way was it luck to have her lead at the end of the race.
